Day 1: Venice, Italy

Venice, a romantic destination in itself, is an artisan masterpiece. On arrival at Venice Marco Polo Airport make your way to your hotel.

Day 2 – 3: Venice, Italy

The city is built on 118 small islands, separated by canals, in a shallow lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. This UNESCO World Heritage Site overflows with beauty – from the gondola-lined canals and ancient marble palaces to the historical architecture of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo. Visiting Venice is like being in a fabled land, a scintillating mix of culture, history, and water.

Day 4: Scenic Rail Journey from Venice to Florence, Italy

On check out of your Venice hotel make your way to Venice Santa Lucia Rail Station for your rail transfer to Florence. On arrival in Florence make your own way to your Florence hotel.

Day 5: Florence, Italy

Florence, the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. Florence’s most iconic sights are the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio & Piazza della Signoria. Florence is also home to the famous David of Michelangelo statue. Florence is a beautiful city best explored on foot, however, if you wish to venture away from the city, Florence may be your starting point for a day trip to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, explore the Tuscan villages or the colourful seaside towns of Cinque Terre.

Day 6: Scenic Rail Journey from Florence to Rome, Italy

On check out of your Florence hotel make your way to Florence Santa Maria Novella Rail Station for your rail transfer to Rome. On arrival in Rome make your own way to your Rome hotel.

Day 7: Rome, Italy

Endless adventures await in Rome. With two and a half thousand years of history, art and culture, it is no wonder Rome is one of the most visited cities on the planet. Gaze at the masterpieces of the Vatican or walk into the past with visits to ancient relics, historic monuments and legendary museums. Or people-watch while sipping on an espresso in a quaint cafe.

Day 8: Rome, Italy – Embark Cruise

On check out of your Rome hotel make your way to Civitavecchia Rome Cruise Port for your 11 night Norwegian Cruise.

Day 9: Monte Carlo, Monaco

Welcome to the playground of the rich and famous. Monte Carlo is home to crystal clear waters, mega yachts, stunning architecture and the world-renowned Monte Carlo Hotel.

Day 10: Florence / Pisa (La Spezia), Italy

Today you’ll have the opportunity to snap that perfect picture, supporting the Leaning Tower of Pisa then enjoying a pizza. Travel to Florence for more delicious Italian cuisine, be enamoured by the Duomo and Michelangelo’s “David” statue right before the beautiful sunset over the Arno River.

Day 11: Naples, Italy

Cruise to Naples, located on Italy’s stunning Amalfi coast, a city embellished in history. Touring around Naples’ grand piazzas, cathedrals and castles in the old centre will fill that cultural need. Pompeii is not too far either, a dashing city that boasts diverse cultural offerings and charming streets.

Day 12: Messina (Sicily), Italy

Stroll through Messina’s Piazza Cairoli taking in magnificent fountains and cathedrals, or sip Marsala wine at a sidewalk cafe. Messina welcomes cruise ship visitors with its lovely harbour, extraordinary architecture (much of which survived a disastrous earthquake and tidal wave in 1908) and wonderful food.

Day 13: Corfu, Greece

One of the lushest of the Greek Isles, Corfu is rimmed in dramatic blue waters and topped with tranquil hillside villages. A collection of quaint cafes in the town of Corfu feels very continental, but the island’s secluded coves and sandy beaches could only be found in the Greek Isles.

Day 14: Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

This quaint little seaside town on the Ionian Sea is the gateway to Ancient Olympia, where Greek mythology was born and the first Olympiad was held. You may still be able to hear the distant echoes of the ancient Greeks cheering as you tour the ruins of one of the most important and exciting sanctuaries of antiquity.

Day 15: Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the most formidable islands in the world, famed for beautiful food, pristine water and unrivalled sunsets, in the foreground are the postcard whitewashed buildings. Perceptions are had about the lost city of Atlantis being located here due to Santorini’s subtle mystery.

Day 16: Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

Ephesus was an ancient Greek city on the coast of Iona in Turkey. It is said that this city of Ephesus was created by Androclosthe son of the king of Athens. Take a trip to see the 10th-century ruins there including the Temple of Artemis a shrine of the goddess Artemis. Ephesus is also said to be home to the House of Virgin Mary, as well as the St John Basilica.

Day 17: Istanbul, Turkey

Dive into this historic city, with dramatic architecture & colourful streets. Do not miss The Hagia Sophia constructed in 537 AD this monumental structure is still standing as a museum, see the outstanding tile work of The Blue Mosque. The Grand Bazaar is a wonderful marketplace is a kaleidoscope, of colourful lamps & spices. Descend below ground to see the mysterious Basilica Cistern, the cities ancient reservoir.

Day 18: Volos, Greece

This modern-day city, built near the site of ancient Iolcos, dominates the region of Magnesia from its position at the foot of Mount Pelion overlooking the Pagasetic Gulf.

Day 19: Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Welcome to Piraeus, the port city of Athens. It is the oldest city in Greece, a guaranteed highlight is the mystical Acropolis, perched high in the hills. Just because this city is vintage don’t think that you’ll be stuck in the past – it is juxtaposed against a modern city filled with shopping, restaurants, culture and beautiful art.

Disembark your cruise and make your own way to Athens International Airport for your return flight home.
