Day 1: New York City, United States
Explore the beautiful concrete jungle that is New York City. Spend your day visiting the prosperity bull on Wall Street, seek out panoramic views from the Empire State Building and gaze upon the city from the architecturally pleasing Brooklyn Bridge. You’re also spoilt for choice with the Guggenheim and the Met.Day 2-3: At Sea
Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.Day 4: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Charlottetown is the capital of Canada’s Prince Edward Island. The Province House National Historic Site hosted the Charlottetown Conference of 1864, spurring the country’s birth. Victoria Row has shops, restaurants and the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Nearby is the Gothic Revival St. Dunstan’s Basilica.Day 5: Sydney, Canada
Welcome to Sydney Nova Scotia, Canada's quaint harbour town on Cape Breton Island. Experience the cities heritage, stemming from the booming industrial industries of steel mills and coal mines, that was what Sydney was known previously for, all whilst wandering the streets amongst wooden 18th-century buildings. Be sure to visit Cossit House, one the islands oldest buildings, for a real taste of life in the 18th-century. Whether it be taking a walk through the past, or enjoying a scenic picnic in Petersfield Provincial Park, overlooking the Harbour - Sydney, will be a beautiful stop on your adventure.Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia
The city’s dominated by the hilltop Citadel, a star-shaped fort completed in the 1850s. Halifax was long defined by naval operations. The 18th-century Citadel still stands guard, but today overlooks a thriving city whose restored waterfront features historic architecture, shops, museums, bars, restaurants and more.Day 7: Saint John, New Brunswick (Bay of Fundy)
Known for the Reversing Rapids, a phenomenon caused by bay tides colliding with the Saint John River. Food and craft stalls fill the Saint John City Market, in an 1876 building. On a peninsula nearby, trails wind through Irving Nature Park’s salt marshes, volcanic rock and forests. The 1913 Imperial Theatre stages plays, concerts and dance.Day 8: Portland, Maine
The Old Port waterfront features working fishing wharves and converted warehouses with restaurants and shops. Nearby, the Western Promenade is a public park atop a bluff, offering river and mountain views. Its surrounding district, the West End, is full of Victorian-era homes, including the Victoria Mansion museum.Day 9: Boston (Massachusetts), United States of America
Boston is Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Founded in 1630, it’s one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The key role it played in the American Revolution is highlighted on the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile walking route of historic sites that tells the story of the nation’s founding. Immerse yourself in US history while visiting Paul Revere's house.Day 10: At Sea

Cruise Alaska, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera & more in complete style aboard Norwegian Joy! Undergoing a complete transformation earlier in 2019 this sister ship to Norwegian Bliss has completely redefined what it means to cruise on innovative ships that make you feel free!
Being the second ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway Plus class the Norwegian Joy boosts innovation, plush staterooms, and world-class amenities, surpassing the existing fleet of cruise ships.
Cruise goers will reap total happiness aboard this majestic vessel. Thrill-seekers rejoice with a 2-level race track & a virtual world in the Galaxy Pavilion. Those looking to relax are pampered in extravagance in the brand-new, first-rate Concierge Accommodation. Animal-lovers can make friends with the pod of whales playing alongside the ship. Those after a killer view will love The Waterfront dining promenade! Foodies will indulge their tastebuds sipping on their favourite cocktail as they select from choice cuts of Angus beef at Cagney’s Steakhouse.
Hear what Tara Kocass, My Cruises Product Manager had to say about her time on the Norwegian Joy:
I was fortunate to sail on Norwegian Joy on her inaugural sailing after she had completed her $50 million renovation in April 2019. Norwegian Joy has been revamped to be almost identical to her sister ship, Norwegian Bliss, with a complete overhaul of everything from the pool deck, the carpet and even the restaurants onboard to appeal to the western market as the ship is now based in the USA.
One of my favourite spaces on the ship is the Observation Lounge on deck 15. This space is climate controlled and provides unparalleled vistas of the breathtaking scenery around you – it could not be any more perfect for sailing through Alaska.
The entertainment is first class with the Tony Award nominated musical, Footloose being a crowd favourite. The food onboard is outstanding and widely available to cater for all tastes, with my personal two favourite venues on any ship cruise ship being onboard Norwegian Joy – Cagney’s Steakhouse and Sugarcane Mojito Bar.
True to its name, the Norwegian Joy is the place of ultimate delight. Explore our packages onboard the Norwegian Joy today
