Day 1: Cairo, Egypt

After breakfast, join one of the Egyptologist guides to visit the Egyptian Museum with its ancient Pharaonic exhibits and the fantastic Tutankhamun exhibit. Then head to Giza on the outskirts of Cairo to visit the Sphinx and the three great pyramids of Egypt. At 500 feet high and 750 feet high, the Great Pyramid is an awesome structure constructed of giant stone blocks with a hard limestone casing. Together with the smaller pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the sight of these enormous structures rising out of the desert is a breathtaking spectacle. You will have the opportunity to climb down right inside the pyramids if you wish (not included). This evening we transfer to the airport for the flight down to Luxor, with free time after check-in to relax at the Luxor hotel.

Day 2: Luxor, Egypt

Start today on a tour of Luxor’s West Bank and the wonderful Valley of the Kings. The tour includes several Pharaonic tombs, as well as the temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Deir el-Medina (the Valley of the Craftsmen), and the huge Colossi of Memnon. The afternoon is free, relax at your 5-star hotel on the banks of the Nile or explore Luxor further; visit the popular market, mummification museum or take a felucca trip to nearby Banana Island (not included). Additional sightseeing is also available, your tour guide can arrange extra visits (an extra cost will apply to cover transport, entrances and the guide's services) to the Rammesseum, Medinat Habu or Valley of the Queens on the west bank of the Nile, which are all worth a visit.

Day 3: Luxor, Egypt

Start today with a once-in-a-lifetime hot air ballooning experience! Be up early to catch the sunset over the Nile’s West Bank. In the afternoon, tour the huge temple complex at Karnak. Once linked to Luxor by a sphinx-lined avenue, the whole complex was further connected to the Nile via a canal created for the sacred boats of the god Amun. Entering through a smaller sphinx-lined avenue, come to an immense pylon entrance. Inside the huge courtyard are three chapels dedicated to the gods Amun, Khous and Mut. The remarkable Hypostyle Hall has 134 towering columns, each carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions adorn the walls. (Please note that the included hot air ballooning is strictly subject to favourable weather conditions and not refundable).

Day 5: Cairo, Egypt

Arrive back into Cairo this morning and transfer to the hotel. Most of the day is free to explore Cairo or take an optional (not included) tour, such as Coptic Cairo city tour, the Citadel and Mohamed Ali Mosque, or a half day tour to Saqqara, Dashour and Memphis to learn more about pyramid building. In the late afternoon take a guided walk through the back streets and bazaars in Old Cairo. Walk through the huge Bab al-Futuh gateway and explore streets dedicated to metalwork, spices, pottery, fabric, jewellery and more before entering the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. There’s time for mint tea and a shisha pipe and to pick up some souvenirs of your time in Egypt. t.

Day 6-7: Cairo, Egypt — Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Transfer to Cairo airport for departure to Dubai.

Day 8: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Welcome to Dubai where you will be able to explore some of the most astounding man-made sites in the Northern Hemisphere. Check out The Palm, an island built in the shape indicative of its name, filled with opulent mansions and in close proximity to the Burj Al Arab Hotel. The Burj is a 7 star, unmatched experience built for the ultra wealthy elitists. The most well known building in Dubai is without a doubt the Burj Khalifa, extending 830 metres, seamlessly entering the stratosphere. Size and decadence seem to be the only two prerequisites in Dubai.

Day 9: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Welcome to one of the most astounding destinations of luxury in the world, a visit to the Ferrari World Theme Park, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Emirates Palace are all must see experiences. A pleasure for both sight and senses can be achieved with lunch at Etihad Tower.

Day 10: At Sea

Your full day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything your ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. If you packed full of fun activities then be sure to refer to the ship’s daily newsletter to keep up to date on everything offered onboard. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.

Day 11: Khor Al Fakkan, United Arab Emirates

This destination may seem peaceful and relaxing but the nearby adventure activities in the Hajar Mountains argue the opposite. The beautiful Al Wurrayah Falls is a great day trip, combine that with a hike of Jayi Mountain and Wadi Wurayah National Park and your day of adventure is set!

Day 12-13: Muscat, Oman

A beautiful oasis of pristine lawns, trees and an array of flowers are not the first thought when picturing a typically desert country. Traditional architecture, elegant mosques, and eye-opening museums intertwine with modern structures to create a striking resemblance to what Mars would be like if filled with opulence.

Day 14: Khasab, Oman

Turquoise waters and limestone fjords probably aren't the first thing to pop in to your mind when you hear Oman. Khasab was founded by the Portugese in the 17th century which is represented through the incredible Khasab Fortress. Swim in the stunning waters of the northern most city in the Emirates.
