Day 3: Olden, Norway

Olden is a quaint village at the end of the Nordfjord is often known as the gateway to the glaciers. Situated between the biggest glacier in mainland Europe and Norway’s wildest stretch of coast at Stad, there is plenty of scenic experiences to access. Ride the Loen Skylift for unrivalled views of this magical fjord and surrounding mountains.

Day 4: Andalsnes, Norway

Åndalsnes is located at the mouth of the river Rauma, at the shores of the Romsdalsfjord, the river flows through the Romsdalen valley, which features some of the most spectacular scenery in the entire country. As you cruise through Andalsnes you will see Trollveggen known to the locals as the Troll Wall which is a stunning cliff formation.

Day 6: Narvik, Norway

Narvik is a beautiful Norwegian town situated between stunning mountains in the west & spectacular fjords to the north & south. You can stroll through the beautiful countryside or head to one of the town's museums. Ofoten Museum tells the story of Narvik's history of fishing & shipping. While there is the Red Cross which tells the story of the early battles from there is WWII.

Day 8: Longyearbyen (Svalbard), Norway

Longyearbyen is located way up north in the permafrost, 1300 kilometres above the Arctic circle! It is home to the worlds northernmost school & University as well as the Global Seed Vault. Longyearbyen is a town where you can see reindeer in the street & there are more snowmobiles than people! This is the Town where you can see a real Polar Bear - a stuffed one that is, at the Svalbard Museum.

Day 10 - 11: Honningsvag, Norway

For many travelers, the sparsely populated settlement of Honningsvåg is nothing more than a pit stop en route to the North Cape, the northernmost point of continental Europe. (The North Cape is rightly an iconic bucket-list destination with postcard views across the open ocean.) But amidst its colorful buildings, Honningsvåg has a lively cultural life powered by local spirit and an economy driven by shipping through the Barents Sea, which is ice-free year round thanks to the warming influences of the Gulf Stream. The town's several notable cultural institutions include a museum and a busy cultural center. Honningsvåg is also a terrific base for exploring the rest of rugged arctic Norway, whether on foot, all-terrain vehicle or on the water. Back in town, be sure to stop by the statue of Bamse, the Saint Bernard dog that became the mascot of the Free Norwegian Forces during World War II.

Day 13: Nordfjordied, Norway

Nordfjordied, as the name suggests lies in the northern part of the county of Vestland, and the fjord with the same name extends 106 km from Stad on the coast to the town of Stryn to the east. The region consists of Stryn, Volda, Gloppen, Stad, and Bremanger. From blue glaciers, majestic mountains, fertile valleys, and deep lakes, to where the wild North Sea at Stad crashes mercilessly against the coast. The glaciers, fjords, sea, and mountains in Nordfjord are some of the most beautiful that Norwegian nature has to offer. At the eastern end of Nordfjord, glaciers glitter as they sneak between narrow valleys, and it is here you will find Europe's deepest lake, Hornindalsvatnet.

A popular port of call, Invergordon combines a superb natural setting of mountains, tumbling waterfalls, rushing rivers, magnificent gardens, and serene lochs—including Loch Ness and its famous resident. Some must-sees include the castles Dunrobin and Cawdor (reportedly Macbeth’s castle), the flower displays of Beauly, Culloden Battlefield, Shin Falls, Inverness, and Glenmorangie Distillery.

Iceland’s capital and largest city was settled in 877 AD and has grown into an integral seaport and government hub. Even though it is a considerably advanced and progressive destination, it still uses water from nearby geysers to heat all of its buildings.

Day 21: Isafjordur, Iceland

Welcome to Isafjordur, home to towering peaks of untouched wilderness. The prosperous fishing town was formed by ancient volcanoes and settled in the ninth century by Vikings. Explore the narrow streets and 18th century timber structures that fill the town then spend some time learning about the regions history. If you’re feeling active then take part in horseback riding, bird watching, kayaking or hiking in the hills.

Day 22: Akureyri, Iceland

Iceland’s second largest city is home to integral ship ports and fishing centres. Enjoy a bustling nightlife and gourmet food amongst stunning snow-capped mountains and fjords or soak up robust folk culture. Whatever you choose, it will be memorable.
