Please be informed that from January 7th 2019, the Japanese Government has introduced an International Tourist Tax of 1,000 JPY, which will be applied to all passengers leaving the country by sea or air and who are headed to another country. The amount of 1,000 JPY will be collected on board the cruise ships that are calling at Japanese ports – when the following port is not a Japanese one. The tax will be converted to USD using the exchange rate of the date of the departure.
