Day 1: Perth, Australia
Welcome to Perth! On arrival in Perth, enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore this vibrant city. Overnight: Pamelia Hilton Perth
Day 2: Bunker Bay, Australia – Touring
Farewell Perth this morning as your tour heads down South. Stop at Busselton jetty, the longest timber piled jetty in the southern hemisphere coming in at 1.841km long. Enjoy a ride on the famous Busselton Jetty Train & then explore the underwater observatory taking you close to hidden natural wonders. Continue onto Margaret River where you can explore the township, discovering the local boutiques with free time for lunch. Your last stop of the day is Mammoth Cave, this magical cave is a natural time capsule; home to ancient fossil remains of long-extinct giant animals. Overnight: Pullman Bunker Bay
Day 3: Bunker Bay, Australia – Touring
Indulge in a day full of the very best food & wine this region has to offer. With visits to multiple vineyards and tastings to match, allowing you to sample the finest produce on offer. Relax over an included lunch with paired wines. After lunch, continue on to a local microbrewery where you can learn all about the varied techniques and unique flavours that go into producing these beers. Finish the afternoon with a visit to the decadent Margaret River Chocolate Factory one of the most popular attractions in the region, where you can sample a mouth-watering range. Day 4: Bunker Bay, Australia – Touring
Start your day with a visit to Beedelup falls and witness the flowing water in full force and be immersed in the forest full of ancient karri trees. Journey onto Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse located on the most south-westerly point of Australia’s mainland. The Lighthouse is also the tallest in Australia. Next head onwards to Augusta, with time to explore this seaside town at enjoying lunch at your leisure. Your final stop of the day will be a cultural experience and dinner at Cape Naturaliste. Day 5: Perth, Australia – Touring
Depart your hotel this morning as we travel back to Perth. Arrive this afternoon and relax with the evening free at your leisure. Overnight: Parmelia Hilton Perth
Day 6: Perth, Australia – Wildflower Day Tour
Enjoy a day tour to explore the vibrant wildflowers of W.A. Visit locations all around the Perth region where we expect to find the finest wildflowers for you to see and smell. Kings Park is renowned for its guarantee of wildflowers but areas such as Wireless Park, Gingin, and Toodyay are also prolific at various times. Our experienced guide will help you identify rare and delicate wildflowers including renowned everlastings, orchids, red and green kangaroo paw, banksias, bottle brush, and Western Australia’s most famous orange flowering Christmas trees. Day 7: Indian Pacific Rail Journey – Perth & Kalgoorlie
A journey aboard the iconic Indian Pacific will whisk you between Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney in comfort and style. With epic transcontinental crossings between the Indian and Pacific oceans, step on board for an all-inclusive rail holiday you’ll never forget. Make your own way to East Perth Terminal for a mid-morning departure aboard the legendary Indian Pacific. Your fabled journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature’s comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon on board, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.
Day 8: Indian Pacific Rail Journey – Nullarbor Plain
Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now a ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by a relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.
Day 9: Indian Pacific Rail Journey – Adelaide & Broken Hill
Adelaide & Broken Hill As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive in charming Adelaide. You have the choice of a walking tour (seasonal), a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Adelaide Oval, or a coach tour of the city sights. This evening you’ll enjoy a stop at Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and frontier outback town, home to a unique artistic community.
Day 10: Indian Pacific Rail Journey – Blue Mountains & Sydney
Blue Mountains & Sydney Take in the full spectacle of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley with a morning excursion to the Blue Mountains before arriving on a chartered service to Sydney at approximately 3:15 pm (time is subject to change). Alternatively, stay on board the Indian Pacific arriving directly into Sydney at approximately 12:45 pm (time is subject to change). Make your own way to the airport if you’re flying out this evening.
The Indian Pacific is one of Australia’s most loved trains with a bucket list transcontinental crossings of the Indian and Pacific ocean .
The Journey onboard is 4352 km and travels between Perth, Adelaide & Sydney, with stops in iconic rural Australian towns immersing you in the culture and history of this wonderful land.
