Québec City sits on the Saint Lawrence River in Canada's mostly French-speaking Québec province. The Petit Champlain district’s cobblestone streets are lined with bistros and boutiques. The city's landmarks include the Château Frontenac, a hotel which dominates the skyline, and the Citadelle of Quebec, an intact fortress that forms the centrepiece of the ramparts surrounding the old city and includes a secondary royal residence.Day 3: At Sea

Victoria Row has shops, restaurants and the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Nearby is the Gothic Revival St. Dunstan’s Basilica.Day 5: Sydney, Nova Scotia
By the water, the Big Fiddle is a huge violin statue honouring local music. Wooden 18th-century buildings include the Cossit and Jost houses, now museums with period furniture. St. Patrick’s Church Museum showcases local history in an 1828 church. East, at Glace Bay, the Cape Breton Miners’ Museum explores the area’s coal-mining heritage.Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia
The city’s dominated by the hilltop Citadel, a star-shaped fort completed in the 1850s. Halifax was long defined by naval operations. The 18th-century Citadel still stands guard, but today overlooks a thriving city whose restored waterfront features historic architecture, shops, museums, bars, restaurants and more.Day 7: Bar Harbour, Maine
Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island along Maine’s Frenchman Bay. It serves as a gateway to the mountains and cliffs of neighboring Acadia National Park. Towering over the park, Cadillac Mountain has trails and views of the town, the bay and the Cranberry Islands. Sand Beach is ringed by mountains.Day 8: Portland, Maine
The Old Port waterfront features working fishing wharves and converted warehouses with restaurants and shops. Nearby, the Western Promenade is a public park atop a bluff, offering river and mountain views. Its surrounding district, the West End, is full of Victorian-era homes, including the Victoria Mansion museum.Day 9: Newport, Rhode Island
Newport is a city set in New England state of Rhode Island. Its yacht-filled harbor hosted the America’s Cup, a renowned annual sailing regatta, for many years. Newport is also known for the Gilded Age mansions lining Bellevue Avenue, some of which are now museums. The most famous is The Breakers, an 1895 mansion patterned after a Renaissance palace.Day 10: New York City, United States
Explore the beautiful concrete jungle that is New York City. Spend your day visiting the prosperity bull on Wall Street, seek out panoramic views from the Empire State Building and gaze upon the city from the architecturally pleasing Brooklyn Bridge. You’re also spoilt for choice with the Guggenheim and the Met.
