Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.

Day 5: Picton, New Zealand.

You’re in wine country now, a short drive will find you in the midst of the Marlborough wine region. Otherwise you can spend the day embracing the shoreline in a kayak and swimming in the pristine waters.

Day 6: Wellington, New Zealand.

Explore the charm of one of New Zealand’s most well-known cities, it may be compact but there is an abundance of activities to partake in. Step out of the city to the embrace of green hillsides or venture further to see the countryside and rugged coastline.

Day 7: Napier, New Zealand.

Take your pick between fine art or fine wine, hint: both are a win! The quaint town was devastated by an earthquake in 1931 which inspired them to rebuild Art Deco style. The style is evident everywhere you look so bask in your surroundings with a stroll along Marine Parade or escape to the country to discover rolling vineyards.

Day 8: Tauranga (Rotorua), New Zealand.

Explore the towering extinct volcano on the island of Tauranga which boasts historic sights, picturesque waterfront views and easy access to pristine beaches, traditional culture and numerous outdoor adventures.

Day 9: Auckland, New Zealand.

Auckland is surrounded by 48 erupted volcanic structures which are spread around the city and present some stunning views. This is also the best spot for the shop-a-holics on-board, spanning from luxury brands to open-air markets. If you’d prefer something involving nature, Auckland also has lush rain forests, coastal trails and sparkling beaches!

Day 10: Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

Bay of Islands is the first place in New Zealand to be settled by the Europeans. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as dolphins and other marine life are often spotted in this area! Walk through the forest to visit caves full of glow worms, go kayaking through the mangroves or take a historical tour of Kerikeri and Waitangi.

Day 11 – 13: At Sea

Day 14: Pago Pago, American Samoa.

Pago Pago belongs to the largest Samoan island in the South Pacific and capital of American Samoa. This beautiful island was a known coaling station and naval base during the second world war, in modern times it is visited due to its ecological diversity.

Day 15 – 16: At Sea.

Day 17: Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

You have now arrived in Bora Bora! A must visit is the spectacular underwater world of the region, whether by glass-bottomed boat, snorkelling, diving or on an Aqua Safari Helmet Dive. You’ll be greeted by an array of marine life, coral reefs and crystal clear water.

Day 18: Papeete, Tahiti – French Polynesia.

Welcome to Papeete! Discover the vast array of sea life on a diving excursion, tour the island by car and take in the spectacular views, or learn about the history of Tahiti on a boat trip around the Lagoon.

Day 19 – 23: At Sea

Day 24: Honolulu / Oahu, Hawaii (United States of America)

Welcome to Oahu, the most populated island of Hawaii, known as ‘The Gathering Place’. There is so much to do on Oahu, from the shops, restaurant and fantastic nightlife of Waikiki, to the historical sights of Pearl Harbour and the natural wonders of the North Shore.

Day 25: Lahaina, Maui.

Explore the Big Island and the youngest volcano in the region, Mount Kilauea. You’ll be in for a show with this active volcano flowing fresh molten lava. It gives a new meaning to fireworks!

Day 26 – 29: At Sea

Day 30 – 32: San Francisco (California), United States of America

Welcome to San Francisco, in northern California, is a hilly city on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. The CBD’s Trans-America Pyramid is its most distinctive building, offering unparalleled views of the city. You’ll find Alcatraz Island, site of the notorious former prison, in San Francisco bay.

Disembark from your ship and make your way to your hotel for your two night stay to explore the city and surrounds.

The Grand Princess by Princess Cruises is a wonderland of incredible facilities at sea.
