Day 2: At Sea
Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ship’s activities can be found in the vessel’s daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.
Day 3: Melbourne, Australia
Explore one of Australia’s most culturally rich cities with an eclectic urban edge, boasting an array of food, art and sports! A visit to Luna Park is a great way to spend your day in the beautiful city of Melbourne.
Day 4: Burnie, Australia
Situated on the Northwest coast of Tasmania, Burnie is known for their cheese, whisky and ceramics. Keep an eye out for adorable penguins and an Australian icon, the platypus.
Day 5-6: At Sea
Enjoy your days at sea. Explore all that your cruise ship has to offer as you relax onboard.
Day 7: Fiordland National Park, New Zealand (Cruising)
Fiordland National Park is renowned for its incredible glacier-carved fiords which make up Doubtful and Milford sound. Bask in the views of Mitre Peak from the forest trail filled with beech trees or head nearby to see the Earl Mountains reflecting on the pristine surface of Mirror Lakes.
Day 8: Port Chalmers, New Zealand
Welcome to Port Chalmers, the main port of Dunedin. Embodying a Scottish heritage while shaped by a Victorian and Edwardian influence, you will feel right at home in the heart of this culturally rich city.
Day 9: Timaru, New Zealand
Timaru is a port city in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand. Sitting midway between Christchurch and Dunedin. Caroline Bay provides a safe swimming beach with links to the main shopping area and restaurants. If you’re thirsty, consider a tour of the local brewery. The city’s excellent museum has moa-hunter artifacts and all kinds of whaling relics; the art gallery holds the third largest public art collection on the South Island.
Day 10: Picton, New Zealand
You’re in wine country now, a short drive will find you in the midst of the Marlborough wine region. Otherwise you can spend the day embracing the shoreline in a kayak and swimming in the pristine waters.
Day 11: Wellington, New Zealand
Explore the charm of one of New Zealand’s most well-known cities, it may be compact but there is an abundance of activities to partake in. Step out of the city to the embrace of green hillsides or venture further to see the countryside and rugged coastline.
Day 12: Napier, New Zealand
Take your pick between fine art or fine wine, hint: both are a win! The quaint town was devastated by an earthquake in 1931 which inspired them to rebuild Art Deco style. The style is evident everywhere you look so bask in your surroundings with a stroll along Marine Parade or escape to the country to discover rolling vineyards.
Day 13: Tauranga (Rotorua), New Zealand
Explore the towering extinct volcano on the island of Tauranga which boasts historic sights, picturesque waterfront views and easy access to pristine beaches, traditional culture and numerous outdoor adventures.
Day 14: Scenic Cruising Bay of Plenty & Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand
Welcome to Coromandel and the Bay of Plenty, where you’ll discover an abundance of dramatic volcanic and geothermal formations, lush rainforests and golden sand beaches. Be sure to grab your binoculars and keep your camera at the ready, as you’re sure to sail past incredible wildlife, including dolphins, orcas, pilot whales, manta rays and native birds.
Day 15: Auckland, New Zealand
Welcome to Auckland! Disembark from the cruise ship today and make your way to your 2 night hotel stay. Auckland is surrounded by 48 erupted volcanic structures which are spread around the city and present some stunning views. This is also the best spot for the shop-a-holics on-board, spanning from luxury brands to open-air markets. Noordam derives its name from the ‘Northern compass point’ and is filled with stunning art, most notably an oil painting of the city of Utrecht painted in 1842. She also carries contemporary pieces including photograph series of music greats Dizzy Gillespie and B.B. King.
