The city is full of wondrous sights so you’ll certainly be kept busy for the day. On Day 3, embark ms Noordam to begin your 35 Night Epic Discovery of Australia.

Day 4 – 5: At Sea
Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. Day 6: Airlie Beach, Australia
Today you’ll visit one of the most beautiful regions of the Queensland coast, Airlie Beach. Take your pick between a tour to Beautiful Whitehaven Beach, get active with some Sea Kayaking amongst the marine life or treat yourself with a Scenic Island Explorer Flight. Airlie Beach is the perfect base in which to explore the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 7: Townsville, Australia
Townsville is a coastal city in northeastern Queensland, Australia. The Strand esplanade, with its pier and water park, is popular. The Reef HQ Aquarium has marine life and coral from the Great Barrier Reef, plus a sea turtle hospital. Southeast of the city, the Billabong Sanctuary wildlife park is home to koalas, wombats and crocodiles. Offshore, Magnetic Island has coral reefs and a national park full of wildlife.

Day 8: Cairns, Australia
Enjoy one of the finest locations in North Queensland, a city surrounded by lush rain forest, crystal clear waters and beautiful coral of the Great Barrier Reef. If you’re tempted for an adrenaline rush then spend some time on a crocodile spotting adventure!

Day 9: Ribbon Reef, Australia
The Ribbon Reefs are a narrow line of outer coral reefs on the edge of the continental shelf and are renowned for their prolific marine life and extensive coral species. Enjoy the rare opportunity to snorkel and dive on the Ribbon Reefs which sit on the edge of the continental shelf. Due to their location far offshore from the Australian coast, the Ribbon Reefs offer excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities, with Ribbon Reef #9 a favourite for its wide variety of marine life and pinnacles cloaked in coral. Join a guided snorkel tour led by our expert Expedition Team and witness this extraordinary ecosystem up close. These northern reefs are renowned for spotting iconic marine species such as potato cod, wrasse, sharks and turtles. Steve’s Bommie at Ribbon Reef #3 rises from 30 metres deep up to just 5 metres below the water and attracts schools of bigeye trevally, barracuda, yellow-lined snapper, Moses perch, yellow-lined goatfish and many others. The amazing visibility and vibrant colours make it great for underwater photography.

Day 10:The Far North / Scenic Torres Strait
Enjoy a day of scenic cruising in this remote and picturesque part of Australia. Discover the stretch of ocean that separates Australia & New Guinea and sail beyond the northernmost extremity of the Australian mainland.

Explore the capital of Northern Territory, in particular the stunning Kakadu National Park. Home to beautiful landscapes and an abundance of wildlife, Kakadu is like nothing you’ve ever witnessed.

Dili is the capital city of, East Timor, on the country’s north coast. Visit the cities large Cristo Rei de Dili statue is on a hilltop east of the city, with breathtaking views of the bay. The city is filled with landmarks that recall the nation’s struggles for independence from Portugal and then Indonesia. Exhibits on the conflicts feature at the Timorese Resistance Museum and the Chega! Exhibition, the latter of which is in a former prison.

Welcome to Komodo where you’ll have the chance to see the rare and prehistoric Komodo Dragon. Explore the island, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a local guide and watch the dragons in their natural habitat. Afterwards head to the beach for a swim or a snorkel!

Day 18: Broome, Australia
Beautiful Broome is a unique coastal town in the Kimberly region. Broome is where Australia’s beautiful red desert meets the crystal blue sea. Visit the famous Cable Beach & enjoy a beach camel ride. A favourite for most visitors to Broome is the local pearl farms which you can get to via Roebuck bay!

On the Cape’s northwest coast, Jurabi Coastal Reserve’s tidal rock pools, beaches, and seasonal nesting grounds for marine turtles.
