Port Louis is the capital city of Mauritius. Known for its French colonial architecture and the 19th-century Champ de Mars horse-racing track. The Caudan Waterfront is a lively dining and shopping precinct. Nearby, vendors sell local produce and handicrafts at the huge Central Market. The Blue Penny Museum focuses on the island’s colonial and maritime history & culture.Day 18: Le Port, Reunion
The Pointe des Galets is a cape in the north-west of the island of Réunion, heading on the Indian Ocean. It is now entirely occupied by the town centre of Le Port. This volcanic island offers stunning beaches to the west of the island, with rainforest & mountains covering the rest of the island.Day 19-21: At Sea
Durban is South Africa’s third-largest city and the continent’s largest port. Durban’s expansive beachfront on the eastern edge of the centre has one of the city’s busiest concentrations of restaurants, a surfeit of tacky family entertainment. Visit the bazaars, alleyways and mosques that make up the Indian area around Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street.Day 23: At Sea
Port Elizabeth situated along Algoa Bay in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province. A major port, it's also known for its numerous beaches. The Donkin Heritage Trail takes in the Old Hill neighbourhood's Victorian landmarks. Coastal boat tours spot whales & rare seabirds. Kragga Kamma Game Park is a small reserve within the Nelson Mandela Bay is home to elephants, rhinos, other big game & also offers cheetah encounters!Day 25: At Sea
Cape Town is situated beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbour & boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.Day 29: At Sea
The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife welcomes you ashore on its ramblas (wide, tree-lined avenues) that lead to the central Plaza de España. Discover churches built in a variety of architectural styles, from the insular baroque of the church of St. Francis, to the colonial Canary style of the church of the Concepciòn. Find one of the best preserved castles of the island of San Juan, known as Castillo Negro (black castle) because it was built with lava rock and stumble upon incredible beaches offering palm trees, a warm breeze and a refreshing dip in the sea.Day 40: Funchal, Madeira
Funchal is sheltered by hills, and recognised for its harbour, gardens and Madeira wine cellars. The centuries-old Cathedral mixes Gothic and Roman styles, with the carved wooden ceiling as its pièce de résistance. Fronting the harbour is the São Tiago Fortress, built in the 1600s and now houses the Contemporary Art Museum, with a large collection of Portuguese inspired pieces.Day 41-43: At Sea
Welcome to the bustling port of Southampton where you can venture to nearby London and make the most of your day. See London’s highlights including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, more pubs than you could poke a stick at and an array of markets including Spitalfield.
The remastered Queen Mary 2 was launched on the 23rd of June 2016. The brand new interior of the ship has been carefully planned to incorporate Cunard’s history and style as a traditional luxury cruise line alongside modern contemporary features. With all new concepts in some of the communal areas, new furnishings in all the suites the Queen Mary 2 really has had the Royal treatment during her refurbishment!
