Day 1: Arrive in Copenhagen, Denmark

Welcome to Europe! Upon arrival at Copenhagen airport, be met and transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 Copenhagen (B)

After breakfast at the hotel this morning, take a guided tour into the heart of Copenhagen, full of historical buildings and ancient streets. See the Little Mermaid, Gefion Fountain, the Royal residence; Amalienborg Palace and Nyhavn Canal with its charming restaurants and picturesque cafés. See Christiansborg Castle, the home of the Danish Parliament, the Royal Opera House, and many more sights.

Later, experience Copenhagen from the water on a classic canal cruise. Learn about some of the historic buildings and their fascinating history while cruising the network of waterways that crisscross and connect the city.

After the canal cruise, visit the Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest theme park in the world and the world’s most-visited seasonal theme park. Its delightful mix of rides, attractions, performances and culture make it a treat for adults and children alike.

Day 3: Copenhagen to Aarhus Approx 307kms (B)

Depart Copenhagen after breakfast this morning and experience the scenic drive north west to Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. On arrival a two hour orientation tour will reveal striking modern architecture and historic neighbourhoods. Then, enjoy free time for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Aarhus – Stavanger, Norway Approx 555kms including ferry (B)

Travel across the Jutland Peninsular today, to Hirtshals and the ferry to Norway. Sail across the Skagerrak to Kristiansand. Then enjoy the incredibly scenic drive north past fjords, lakes and forests to Stavanger, one of Norway’s oldest townships; evidenced in the beautifully preserved wooden buildings that symbolise the region.

Day 5: Stavanger – Bergen Approx 210 kms (B)

Today the tour travels across some of Norway’s most beautiful bays and through Nordic countryside to the famous seaside town of Bergen. Surrounded by soaring mountains and some of the worlds most dramatic fjords, spend the rest of the day taking in the sights of this photogenic and historic icon of the region.

Day 6: Bergen (B)

After breakfast at the hotel today, enjoy some free time to relax and explore Bergen and surroundings at your own pace. Later, be treated to the dramatic funicular trip up to Fløyen – 320m above sea level – an exhilarating experience. The views from the top are breathtaking.

Day 7: Bergen – Geilo Approx 245kms (B, D)

Start a full day of exciting sightseeing today with a drive to Voss followed by the train up to Myrdal to meet the world-famous Flam railway. The Flam track winds steeply through one of Norway’s most stunning valleys, offering breathtaking views and photo opportunities.
The day continues on with a 2 hour cruise onboard a luxurious electric ECO boat in UNESCO listed Nærøyfjord, another photogenic place of outstanding natural beauty.
Complete this special day with the scenic drive to Geilo, to relax for the evening with dinner at the hotel included today.

Day 8: Geilo – Oslo Approx 220kms (B)

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, travel east toward Oslo. There will a break and time to browse at the Hadeland Glass factory; the source of uniquely stylish Scandinavian glass pieces. Also, take a photo stop at Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the arena surrounding the soaking structure doubles as a venue and has fantastic views to Oslo. Finish the day in Oslo, with free time this evening.

Day 9: Oslo (B)

After breakfast, today, take in the highlights of Oslo on a locally guided city tour. See historically significant and beautifully preserved buildings including the Opera House and Akershus medieval fortress. Enjoy time to wander the peaceful Frogner Park and adjacent Vigeland Park, filled with the sculptural works of Norwegian artist, Gustav Vigeland. The rest of the day is free for your own relaxation or further exploration of the city.

Day 10: Oslo – Stockholm, Sweden Approx 525km (B)

Travel from Norway into Sweden today, with a midday stop in Karlstad. On arrival into Stockholm, check in and relax for the evening.

Day 11: Stockholm (B)

Today’s city tour of Stockholm starts at Fjällgatan for magnificent views of the Swedish capital – spread out on 14 islands with Lake Mälar on one side and the Baltic Sea on the other. See the Old Town ‘Gamla Stan’ with its fascinating narrow cobble-stoned alleys, Royal Palace, Cathedral and City Hall where the annual Nobel Prize award takes place. The tour extends to the recreational island Djurgården, where many of Stockholm’s finest museums are found. Spend the rest of your last day in Scandinavia exploring at your own pace.

Day 12: Stockholm – Tallink Silja Line Ferry (B, D onboard ferry)

After free time to further explore Stockholm today, be transferred to the ferry terminal for your Tallinn Silja Line crossing to Helsinki. Sail overnight in a comfortable A Class outside cabin, with included dinner and drinks.

Day 13: Helsinki, Finland (B)

Awake for breakfast onboard, before docking in Helsinki. Then tour the Finnish capital, seeing major sights including Rock Church, Senate Square surrounded by the Lutheran Cathedral of Helsinki, the Senate, University and Library of Helsinki, the Sibelius monument, Olympic stadium, and new Opera House.

Day 14: Helsinki – Tallinn, Estonia – Helsinki (B, D)

Start the day with breakfast before being transferred to the ferry terminal and your day trip to Tallinn, Estonia!
On arrival, you’ll be met and guided on a tour of Tallinn’s most significant landmarks.

Admire Alexandre Nevski church, Dome Church and the 13-14 century castle, the seat of the Estonian Parliament. Take in the views of the medieval town-wall and its towers. Then walk down to the Town Hall Square with the 15th century Town Hall, 15th century pharmacy and the buildings of Great Guild and Brotherhood of Blackheads.

Return by ferry to Helsinki this evening, with dinner provided on board.

Check out of your Helsinki hotel after breakfast this morning and be transferred to the airport for your flight home to Australia.

A reasonable level of fitness and mobility are required for often long and full days of medium to fast pace walking, with intermittent breaks on the coach during transit. You may encounter occasional flights of stairs and expected to alight from coaches and trains on your own accord. The tour is not suitable for persons requiring scooters or wheelchairs. Physical ailments must be disclosed at the time of booking for advice on your suitability.

Children under 12 years old are not permitted to join the tour. Each adult may bring no more than one child under 12 years old.

A tourist visa is not required for Australian and most other nationalities travelling to Northern Europe. It is your responsibility to check all requirements with your local consulate, embassy or visa centre.

Triple share is not available

Tipping is discretionary but recommended as a show of appreciation for the services of the guides and drivers.

Rooms with twin beds will be provided if other room types are not available.

Minimum 10 passengers.
Maximum 40 passengers per vehicle (estimated).

Full names and a copy of each traveller’s valid passport photo page are required for reservation. Passports must be valid for 6 months beyond trip completion. You are liable for fees due to incorrect or incomplete information.

You must check and meet all visa requirements with your local visa authority, embassy or consulate before travel.

All prices are subject to change, availability, redemption and book by deadlines. All prices are AUD per person twin share unless otherwise specified.

Deposit is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase.  Deposit is fully transferrable up to 90 days prior to departure.  Balance is due 90 days prior to departure.

The Peace of Mind Policy allows free of charge changes up to 90 days before departure, subject to airfare differences where flights have already been booked.
Each change within 90 days of departure: $100 per person plus applicable third-party supplier fees.
Each change within 60 days of departure: $250 per person plus applicable third-party supplier fees.

Cancellation more than 90 days before departure: Loss of deposit only.
Cancellation within 90 days of departure: 30% of package price.
Cancellation within 60 days of departure: 50% of package price.
Cancellation within 14 days of departure: 100% of package price.

Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, regardless of any other baggage allowance.  Porter service is not included and you are expected to carry your own bags.  Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Final documentation including flights will be emailed within two of weeks of departure of the respective travel component.

Confirmed flights are not available until you receive your final documentation.  Costs for flight requests will be due immediately upon confirmation.  Flights may involve up to two transits per leg.  No show of flights may incur heavy penalties and auto cancellation of onward flights.  Flights may depart one day before or after the indicated itinerary depending on your departure point and final flight schedule.

The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed necessary for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation of the tour.  If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, similar alternatives will be provided where possible. The indicated length of trip includes time in flight and is subject to change depending on the final flight schedule.
Included admissions provide general entrance to the attraction and do not include secondary admissions or expenses inside the venue.
Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.

Confirmed hotels are not available until you receive your final documentation.  Listed hotels may be substituted with properties of a similar standard.   Hotel star ratings are either local ratings or self-ratings provided by the supplier.   All rooms will be lead-in category or run of house unless otherwise stated.

The tour and its optional programs may require minimum numbers to operate.

It is a condition of booking that you must always remain with the tour according to the prescribed program.   Departure from the group or deviation from the set itinerary are not permitted unless written prior consent is obtained, otherwise you risk cancellation of remaining land and air arrangements.

All efforts must be made to resolve issues on tour with the tour leader.  Complaints must be submitted in writing with substantiated evidence within 10 days of trip completion.

Please notify your guide of any special dietary requirements but note that choices may be limited or not catered for.  Common flight meals can be requested at the time of booking and are subject to availability.

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control.
In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, we reserve the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.

The pricing, terms and conditions listed herewith shall prevail in the case of any ambiguity or contradiction with other terms.
