Norwegian Cruise Line
Founded in 1966 by an Oslo-based shipping company, NCL was originally named Norwegian Caribbean Line. Now based out of their headquarters in Miami, NCL have been responsible for many innovations in the industry – both with their ships and their cruises. Introducing the concept of more relaxed cruising, NCL were the first to offer no set meal times, no set seating, and no formal dress code. They also led the way in introducing the multitude of activities and entertainment passengers enjoy aboard today’s megaships. Aiming to stay ahead of the latest technology and advances, the NCL cruise ships are the youngest fleet in North America, and have facilities such as high-ropes courses, water parks, ice bars, and bowling alleys. They also offer a wide range of cabins to suit every passenger, from studios for solo cruisers, to connecting cabins for families, and luxury villa style accommodation.
Norwegian Cruise Line cruises are family friendly with lots of activities for both adults and children. Their main focus is on activities, fun, entertainment and choosing what you want to do, and when you want to do it; from dining, to entertainment, to time in port. The fun, colourful, vibrant décor inside NCL cruise ships creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Catering largely to American, Australian, and UK passengers.
