Mediterranean Cruise Itinerary

Welcome to one of the most beautiful spots in the world, Marseille, a port city located in southern France. This city dates back to 600 B.C and in some regards, hasn’t changed too much. Fishmongers still sell their catch in the heart of the ‘Old Port’ whilst architectural highlights can be found in Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, a Romanesque-Byzantine church.
Genoa is known for its key role in maritime trade over several centuries. Narrow streets open onto monumental squares like Piazza de Ferrari, site of an iconic bronze fountain and Teatro Carlo Felice opera house.
Cruise to Naples, located on Italy’s stunning Amalfi coast, a city embellished in history. Touring around Naples’ grand piazzas, cathedrals and castles in the old centre will fill that cultural need. Pompeii is not too far either, a dashing city which boasts diverse cultural offerings and charming streets.
Stroll through Messina’s Piazza Cairoli taking in magnificent fountains and cathedrals, or sip Marsala wine at a sidewalk cafe. Messina welcomes cruise ship visitors with its lovely harbour, extraordinary architecture (much of which survived a disastrous earthquake and tidal wave in 1908) and wonderful food.
Despite being scarred by World War 2, Valletta has recouped with it’s baroque styled churches, curated gardens, palaces and piazzas. The Magisterial Palace now houses the Maltese Parliament in it’s structure, dating back to 1571-1574.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when you want to lay in the sun and go for a swim. Enjoy stunning lighting, a giant screen and a spacious layout at the Panorama pool or visit the South Beach Pool at night for a spectacular light show, perfect for dancing the night away with live music and entertainment or incredible sea views in the panoramic lifts.
Relax in an open air-cafe in Placa Reial, sip espresso and watch the crowds wandering in and out while you relax in pure, holiday bliss. Board Seaview again and prepare to revisit the beautiful Marseille.
Welcome back to Marseille, explore the rest of the city before embarking on your next journey through Bordeaux!

Bordeaux River Cruise Itinerary

Welcome to Bordeaux! Your ship is conveniently located in the centre of the city, allowing you to view the beautiful architecture and scenery of this exquisite French locale. Head to the local food markets for some French cuisine then off to the very popular Saint-Michel flea market. It’s now time to board River Royale for your 8 day river cruise!
Famed for it’s dessert wines, Cadillac is the perfect spot to enjoy a wine pairing lunch in a 14th century fortress with a local wine producer. This exclusive tour will see you introduced to France in impeccable style.
You’ll be greeted by miles upon miles of grapevines and an array of architectural beauties in the Medoc region. Choose between two tours today – a guided vineyard bicycle ride, topped off with wine tasting or explore the Médoc châteaux route with an exclusive wine tasting. You’ll explore architecture derived from three periods – renaissance, Greek Revival and medieval whilst cruising the Garonne River and Gironde Estuary.

Take a scenic drive along the Route de la Corniche Fleurie, visiting Blaye Fortress. It is one of the most beautiful roads in the world, surrounded by flowers that were sprouted by local sea captains. Cruising down the Dordogne River is a peaceful journey with fishing huts and grassy marshlands juxtaposed against towering limestone cliffs. In the afternoon, your journey will venture to Bourg-sur-Gironde where you can climb the stone stairs all the way up to the pinnacle of the village and overlook the Gironde and Dordogne rivers.
Stroll through the medieval township of Libourne, along cobblstone streets you will find wine shops, bakeries and the stunning rock-hewn church that delves beneath the ground. Another must-do is a wine tasting afternoon in the cellars of a famed Grand Cru estate. If you have the energy, a trip to Saint-Émilion is definitely recommended, you’ll be able to brush up on region’s history and its longstanding wine culture.
The region’s impeccable wine is mostly derived from the soil in which it is grown, the same can be said for the local cuisine. Head to the local farmers market for extraordinary produce and enjoy a delicious lunch. Choose between a Village Day with the aforementioned farmers market or attend the Bordeaux under the stars tour on an open bus journey with the illuminated city.
Welcome back to Bordeaux, it is much like its big sister Paris but wonderfully younger and more invigorating than the French capital. Explore the backstreets via two feet or two wheels and enjoy the complimentary Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner on your final night in board River Royale.
Disembark the ship in Bordeaux and catch the complimentary transfer to your Bordeaux hotel, all thanks to My Cruises!
