Alaska Southern Glacier & Rocky Mountaineer Cruise Itinerary

Seward is a port city in southern Alaska, acting as a gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park, where glaciers flow from the Harding Icefield into coastal fjords. Surrounded by peaks, the fjords are a whale habitat and afford visitors the memories of a lifetime.
Hubbard Glacier is the most impressive glacier on earth due to it’s incredible mass and constant shelves, naturally carved off. Make sure you have the camera ready for some memorable shots in the presence of this natural wonder.
This place is the true definition of Alaska; Ice fields, fjords, glaciers and a historical township. What more could you want?
In the late 1800’s, this remote town grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers in the space of 12 months. Travellers these days come in search of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway’s charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.
Icy Strait Point is the ideal place to immerse yourself in the fascinating native Tlingit culture, explore the wilderness and get up close to the local wildlife!
Ketchikan is known for its lush wilderness and amazing wildlife. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, seals and other fascinating Alaskan creatures! Always wanted to see a bear? Join a floatplane excursion to go black bear spotting over the scenic Neats Bay.
Spend your day cruising along Inside Passage, a stretch of water which weaves its way through the mountainous islands of the Pacific Coast of Northern America. Enjoy spectacular views of wildlife, bewildering coastlines and vast townships.
Welcome to Vancouver and explore Canada’s cosmopolitan city! Relax in Stanley Park, have dinner in the second Largest China Town in North America, or take a day tour up to the mountains and see more of Canada’s spectacular West Coast!
Spend your first Rocky Mountaineer day exploring the beautiful city of Vancouver.
Today you’ll venture to Kamloops, a journey filled with dramatic scenery. Your journey switches between lush greenery in Fraser Valley, winding rivers set amongst the Coast and Cascade Mountains as well as the desert landscape of British Columbia.
You’ll now continue trekking east to the Canadian Rockies and the stunning city of Alberta. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon and the Spiral Tunnels. An unforgettable part of today will be the snow-capped mountains and vast glaciers of the Canadian Rockies. Spend tonight in your accommodation in Lake Louise.
Make the most of a full day exploring the drastic glaciers and stunning ice fields of Jasper National Park. Enjoy a complimentary journey on the Ice Explorer to the centre of Athabasca Glacier. You’ll be able to rest up afterwards in Lake Louise and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure.
Take an incredible sightseeing tour of Yoho Park and venture to your next stop of Banff.
Today you are free to explore as fast or slow as you like. Banff has some incredible sights including the Banff National Park which boasts mineral pools, a nature walk on stunning mountain trails, historic museums or a relaxing few hours at Lake Minnewanka.
Today will likely be the highlight of this unfathomable journey. Take a sightseeing tour in Banff. You’ll then head to the Rockies for an incredible 12 minute panoramic helicopter tour over the regions stunning landscape. Tonight you’ll rest in your accommodation in Calgary.
